Who We Are

We’re a student-led publication created for people who think deeply, write boldly, and want their ideas to matter. Most of us have written essays that took time, care, and real thought, only to see them fade into a Google Drive folder, unread and unfinished. We built The Tipping Point to change that. This is a space for students to publish serious work. A space for analysis, not just opinion. A space that treats young writers not as future thinkers, but as voices that matter now.

What We’re About

We care about ideas that push boundaries, writing that doesn’t condescend, and conversations that feel alive. Whether you’re exploring justice and inequality, questioning cultural norms, or trying to make sense of a messy world. The Tipping Point is a place to think out loud, write with clarity, and be taken seriously.

Our Values

Clarity Over Clickbait

We’re not chasing likes or soundbites. We want writing that engages honestly with complex ideas and invites others to do the same.

Cross-Disciplinary Curiosity

We believe good ideas don’t stay in their lane. That economics and ethics overlap, that culture is shaped by power, and that real insight often lives in the grey areas between disciplines.

Honest Thinking

We’re not here to pretend we know everything. But we care about asking good questions, testing assumptions, and writing with integrity.

Giving Good Work a Second Life

So many strong pieces of writing never get seen. We want to change that. If you’ve written something you’re proud of, this is your platform.

Youth Voices, Taken Seriously

We don’t publish student work as a pat on the back. We publish it because it matters. Because ideas don’t have to come from credentials to be valuable.

Who We're For

If you're the kind of person who writes to understand, who gets excited about big questions, or who believes the world needs more thoughtful conversation, you're in the right place. Remember: your word weighs on the world.
